First Friday studio walks are the first Friday of each month opening from 5 to 9pm. Studios at the Pendleton Art Center Rising Sun open at that time to the public allowing guests the opportunity to view creative art space and purchase one-of-a-kind artwork directly from the artist. Second Look Saturdays offer another opportunity to experience the Pendleton and its artists from 10am to 5pm.

 

 

The King and I on Main

Looking for a royal shopping experience? 

Visit Historic Rising Sun’s newest store, The King and I.  Now open Thursday, Friday & Saturday from 10:00 – 5:00 located at 207 Main Street in the heart of Rising Sun in the Pendleton Art Center.  The store front is restored to its’ original condition with plank hardwood floors, exposed brick walls and has a wonderful relaxed feeling.

The King and I, owned by Robbie and Steve King is filled with home accents, antiques, art, photography, jewelry, pottery and many recycled personal items. Always looking for that unique design piece the Kings will offer consignment of specialty items, antiques, fine art and personal collections. 

Robbie said she received an outpouring of positive comments on opening day November 4th,  “they have great funky, vintage items that are so different from other stores!” and another customer said, “The store is fabulous, collectibles, art, hand painted scarves, etc., if you can, get in that store!”
